In 2013, I was part of BlackRock’s Financial Markets Advisory Group, assessing the risk to the Greek Central Bank of the bailouts. I was on the top floor of a bank building in Athens enjoying a fancy lunch with about 20 bankers when I glanced out the window and saw a huge crowd of people demonstrating on the street. While it wasn’t clear to me exactly what the crowd was protesting, it was clear that the work I was doing was going to mostly benefit the 20 people having lunch, not the people on the street. A few months later, I left my 30 year career on Wall Street to work on public policy full time as Chair of the Board of The Patriotic Millionaires.
During this volatile time, it is particularly important that wealthy Americans do their part to advance the interests of the country as a whole. The Patriotic Millionaires are aggressively leveraging their unique position to promote a set of core principles - a positive and profoundly American vision of political equality, just wages and fair taxes - in the public debate. If you believe...
...then I hope you will join The Patriotic Millionaires and help us fight for a just, peaceful, free and prosperous nation.
Thank you so much.
