Black Public Media

Nonso Christian Ugbode Digital Media Fellowship

For ten years, Nonso Christian Ugbode served as Director of Digital Initiatives here at Black Public Media. His vision and contribution were especially felt through his efforts to cultivate and prepare Black producers for work in digital and emerging media.

In 2016, in honor of his memory, we founded the Nonso Christian Ugbode Digital Media Fellowship. The NCU Digital Media Fellowship is designed specifically for young artists who are producing their first independent digital media project. BPM provides each fellow with a mentor, production resources, up to $5,000 in funding, and distribution once the work is complete.

We are excited to invite you to join us in continuing Christian’s legacy. This fellowship is something we know he would be proud of and BPM looks forward to watching it flourish. Please consider joining us and contributing $100 or more to support the fellowship.

"With the premiere focus of the NCU Fellowship being a convergence of technology and art, it shows that BPM and its supporters are not afraid to push boundaries and empower young creatives to follow their dreams and prosper. I cannot thank you all enough for believing in me and supporting my endeavors.
